Chicago

2017 Half Marathon

At the bean
It was pretty cool seeing a bunch of famous paintings in person that I had to study/memorize in school
We managed to somehow beat the school groups to the Seurat
Nighthawks up close
Lined up at the start coral. I was lucky to be in one towards the front. The race was much bigger than I expected.
It was unseasonably hot, and people were literally passing out, but nothing like the Peachtree. I guess it pays to train in the south.
Post-race refreshments!
The 42 day dry aged ribeye was delicious!
It was nice exploring some of the neighborhoods outside of downtown. This was at the Ukranian Village
Waiting for the Second City show in Old Town
The planetarium was nice, but the views outside it were great
Chicago’s first planetarium. There’s a chair lift that goes up inside the sphere, and holes are drilled through the outside for the stars.
The views from Grant Park
Outside the Adler Planetarium
