a Day in Naples
During our last day in Sardinia, we watched planes and helicopters put out a wild fire just outside of town. These were the planes we saw
Our last view of Sardenia from the air
Our first order of business in Naples was pizza, obviously. We decided to try the birthplace of the pizza margherita, Pizzeria Brandi
The pizza was pretty tasty
That girl was really not into this. I wonder if Chelsea Clinton knows there’s a super awkward photo hanging in a restaurant in Naples with her. She seems happy to be there.
We were only in Naples for a day, but we saw a lot
Vesuvius looms over the city. It was interesting getting some of the locals’ feelings towards it. They seem to know it could blow any day and kill thousands/possibly displace millions
This sums up our one-day whirlwind jaunt around Naples pretty well
Our last apertifs in Italy
When we first arrived in Naples, it definitely seemed super seedy. It turned out that due to it being a holiday, everything was closed. As things started to open up, we really grew to like it. It definitely had a certain charm
Un Gatto!
Perhaps?
Lisa found her new hair stylist
Our last dinner in Italy. Can you tell that we were sad to be leaving?
One last lemoncello
We had a long overnight layover in Frankfurt, so we got a hotel in the center of town.
German food is very different than the Italian we’d been eating for two weeks!
