San Francisco

2018 Marathon

In front of Alcatraz
A better view of Alcatraz
Of course we had to get food in Chinatown
Finally got to try In-n-out. Sadly it didn’t live up to the hype. I’ll stick with shake shack!
We knew San Francisco was hilly, but it was more mountainous than hilly. Many of the streets are so steep they build in stairs.
We really enjoyed Sausalito
San Francisco from across the bay
Lining up before the race
I think this was towards the end
Finishing the race.
A finishing photo that Lisa managed to catch
After the race. It felt great to finally do a marathon, and to do it faster than I thought. Couldn’t have chosen a better place to do it! So many views!
Apparently this is what real calamari looks like. It was delicious!
The entrance to Muir Woods. We rented a car and got out of San Francisco for our last day. The scenery was amazing.
You really can’t capture the scale of the redwoods in a photo.
We drove over to Stinson beach, which turned out to be quite a windy, twisty, long ride… but the views were amazing. Thanks Seth for the suggestion!
